Human essence

This category focuses on real people in their natural environments, embodying a warm and relaxed energy. As our hero photography, this is the imagery that is used most often across covers, outdoor, onsite and digital communications.

Human essence — interaction

This style of photography brings human connection to the forefront, showing people in-action and interacting with one another. This type of imagery should feature more than one person and aim to capture genuine, candid moments.

Human essence — portraits

Our portraiture style of imagery demonstrates a sense of confidence in our staff and customers. Unlike traditional portraiture that appears posed and set in a studio environment, HELP’s portraiture style has a more candid feel about it, as if the subject is going about their everyday life are captured at the exact moment they look towards the camera for the first time.

Ambition in action

Our second most prominent imagery style focuses on what it can look like to live ambitiously. This imagery style aims to highlight the genuine, daily moments in our customers’ lives.

To accurately reflect HELP’s offerings, this imagery can be segmented by the two core themes of work and life. This style is also used in support of ‘Human essence’ and is mainly reserved for print applications, such as inside spreads; and digital applications, such as social posts and campus screens.

Daily details

Drawing on the preceding imagery styles, this type of imagery shows a macro perspective of the work and life themes.

This style of imagery supports the previous categories and should be used to paint a richer visual narrative. Where possible, pair this imagery with imagery from the ‘Ambition in Action’ category to give more context to the image.

Staff photography

Exclusively used in formal applications across digital and print, such as proposal documents and strategic plans, this style conveys professionalism without feeling rigid.

Capture staff outside in natural, warmer toned light. Convey positivity through subtle and natural smiles, avoiding overly serious facial expressions.
